Write A Response To Another Post
Posted on March 3rd, 2008 in Blogging Tips |
I’m always searching for different ways to drive traffic to my blog, and giving you the ideas that I have to help you. If you noticed in this post, I wrote a response to another post on another blog. Writing a response to another post can benefit your blog in many ways.

You Create a Link for them
Writing a response and including a link back to their post drives more traffic to their blog, so they love you for that. Your giving them free advertising, and they will maybe link back to you in a future post if they like what you have written.
Your letting the Person you are Responding to know your Reading
Other bloggers love to know that people are reading and that they are engaged in what they have written, especially smaller bloggers. If you write back to them, you are letting them know you like their post enough to reply to it. If you have written constructive comments or praise for their post, they will send you load of love because everyone likes to know they are doing something right or they will love to know what they have not written well so they can improve.
You create Interest
If you write a blog response to another person’s post, it will draw the readers that view his/her post to your blog because they will want to find out what you have to say back to the poster. They may think your trying to create a bit of controversy (you might actually be doing so in your response, it’s upto you) so they will want to see something kick off. Everyone wants a “disagreement” secretly, it’s like selling using sex, most people love it.
You Generate New Ideas
Between you both you can create something new. Discussing something between two blogs gets the thinking juices flowing and you can come up with a new concept. Ideas are created between two people talking about something; why not let it be created between your blogs? In a response post why not both try new affiliate networks and write responses to each other to see how you got on. The possibilities are endless.
It’s a Win-Win
Working together is a win-win situation. Your create links to each other blogs and you can 99% guarantee the person that reads the response will visit the other site. Remember if someone writes a response to your post, recognise it and link back to them; it’s a way of saying thanks.
Good Luck!
