My Monetization Methods
Posted on January 10th, 2008 in Earn Money Blogging |
As a fairly new blog, I looked endlessly on other blogs to investigate what they used to monetize their blog. I was very unsure which companies to use and wanted to know background information on them before I actually signed up, I did the search and asked for various opinions and reviews from other people. I have written about these companies in confidence that I know they are safe and real as it can sometimes be a daunting task in deciding which whether you should sign up or not. Each month I will be tracking and posting earnings from the previous months so you will be able to see the growth in these monetization methods.
Google Adsense

I have used Google Adsense on many previous websites of mine, since 21st January 2006. I’ll be honest, the amount I’ve made since that time is $86.21 BUT I have only used Adsense for around 6 months of that time for websites. The other times I have not had any codes running, so I think that makes my earnings seem a little better. That is from 17,506 impressions and 242 clicks. I’m still waiting for that illustrious $100 mark, and maybe I’ll hold it for a while and see how much I can accumulate. Google Adsense is a very nice earner and is the perfect PPC for your first monetization method.
Kontera

Kontera is a PPP (PayPerClick) form of monetization. You place a code on your website which then picks keywords from your website and turns them into adverts. You can probably see around this post, there are double underlined blue words. When a person hovers over the keyword a box pops up next to the word and displays an advert.
Project Wonderful

Project Wonderful offers the chance for people to advertise on your blog via a bidding system. They call it the “endless bid”. There are many different size advertising spots you can offer and people can bid from $0.00 (advertise for free) upwards unless you set a minimum bid. The bid can raise a lot depending on how many people advertise on your blog. More traffic to your blog generally means more profit. People like using Project Wonderful because it offers them the chance to advertise for a few cents.
NeverblueAds

NeverblueAds is a leading affiliate network in where you can earn commission for various things after someone clicks on the advert through your blog. NeverblueAds completes your application by phoning you and they offer you a great opportunity to make more money with your blog. NeverblueAds is extremely easy to use and NeverblueAds give great affiliate support from your own affiliate manager.

WidgetBucks

This is another new method that I have only just started using to. WidgetBucks offers semi-contextual advertising. You receive payment from either clicks on adverts that are placed on my website or an impression basis. You can also earn 10% from people you refer over a 12 month period.

TTZMedia

TTZMedia is a PPC network, which I have just started using. TTZMedia by John Chow is a method I have been wanting to try for a while and I finally got round to signing up. You can earn a minimum of $0.15 each time someone clicks a product. A referral program allows the referrer to earn 10% of what the person who joins TTZmedia earns over the next 12 months. A minimum of $25 is required to be paid, either by Cheque or PayPal.
This post will be updated at various times to notify you of any changes to the monetization method.
