How To: Start Blogging Now!
Posted on March 12th, 2008 in Learn To Blog |
I recently received an email asking me a few simple questions by someone trying to find out how to start blogging. Then it dawned on me, telling people how to set a blog up is an essential part of any blog. If your writing blogging advice and they can’t implement it because they don’t have a blog, you’re really defeating the object. I don’t claim to be some guru in any sense at all but I’ve learnt a lot since I first put my hands on a computer at the age of 10.

This is my first attempt at writing a series so I will try my best to provide you with what you need. I’ll share my experiences and show you how to do it my way and you’ll be up and running in no time at all. In this series I’ll be writing about the following things in separate posts:
- Learn To Blog: Initial Thoughts
- Learn To Blog: Choosing Your Web Hosting
- Learn To Blog: Choosing Your Domain Name
- Learn To Blog: Choosing Your Blogging Software
- Learn To Blog: Making Your Blog, Your Own!
- Learn To Blog: Writing Your First Post
- Learn To Blog: Driving Traffic To Your Blog
- Learn To Blog: Let’s Make Money!
- Learn To Blog: A Few Closing Words And Good Luck!
As you can see that’s quite an extensive list of posts I’m going to write. I’ll post first post then the next part two days after and then the next one two days after and so on…
Once a post is done, I will hyperlink it to that post, so you can always return to this post to choose any article you like. I’ll be editing the posts if I wish to add some other information to the posts for the future.
Good Luck Blogging and Enjoy the Posts!

Looking forward to your new series!
I will have to tell my youngest son to watch your blog. He is just starting a blog and could use the help.
Love your logo! Did you do it or did you have it done by someone else?

Thanks for your comment Carol
I’m glad your son will hopefully be watching this series!
My logo and text was from generators and I made a few changes here and there. I’m hoping to try to create a mascot soon with that face as a template to create it from.
Best Wishes
Carl
It looks GREAT!!!
Hope you share the generator information in series.
I may want to take advantage of it.

I’ll definitely be posting a list of resources in the future that I find interesting and useful. I noticed on your blog you have a golf section, you play golf? I do to. I’ve been playing for about 7 years!
Only minature golf! Not so good at the real thing…
I have the golf section because it is a major attraction in this small community. I could always use some great golf tip stories if you have any..

I once worked at a golf course (and I didn’t know anything about golf). Someone asked me what was my handicap, and I replied, “I’m not handicapped.”
