<description>Your own unique blogging voice is so critical to your blogs' success...I so agree! People read to be entertained and educated and informed...they don't read to be bored to tears.

The human element will always win out over the make-money element every day.

Data points,

<description>I always thought that it's a good idea to add your personal touch to all the posts. Since humans are reading your posts and not robots, then you should know it feels to read something long and boring. Just ask yourself if you would enjoy reading it</description>

<description>I like to call that "voice" - and I agree, it's very important to write on a level that connects with the readers.

Good post! :)

		<description>Carl,

Your own post serves an example of the approach to blogging you are seeking to teach.

I'm very new to blogging, yet already I can tell who I like to learn from and who just doesn't cut it. There are too many robotic bloggers out there, too many people just posting because they need to get a word in on the same thing everyone else is talking about. And they add nothing new.

Think about it -- there are a zillion blogs out there about gadgets, or about Internet Marketing, or politics, or whatever. Within each of those respective niches, writers are all forced to cover more or less the same topics. This means you get a lot of redundancy if you're reading more than one blog on a particular subject. And life is short, so you're going to gravitate toward... what?

Toward the interesting writer, obviously. There are a lot of elements in blogging that are easy to imitate. Personality isn't one of them.

thatblogsite is not the biggest blog in its niche, but as a new blogger it's one that I'm glad I've found, in large part because of the person I sense is behind it. Thanks for all of your contributions.
