Blogvertise - Earn Money Writing

Posted on February 29th, 2008 in Earn Money Blogging | 3 Comments »

I’m always one for trying new ways to earn more cash and that’s why I have just applied at Blogvertise. After reading a few reviews about Blogvertise I decided it was time to start using their service. Part of their approval program is to write about them, to show them all what I can do and introduce them to my blog, hopefully they will like it. So hello to the member of the Blogvertise team that drops by!

Blogvertise

Simple Cash
Blogvertise take requests from advertisers that want to promote their websites. The process works very simply, they provide you with something to write about, you write the post and meet the requirements and they pay you for each post you do! It’s an extremely easy way of earning extra cash for your blog. You must complete it within 5 days; each post you make must contain 3 links and must be over 75 words long. There are some other rules, but they are all pretty straight forward to follow. You can receive payment for your services via PayPal. Apparently you can earn from $4 up to $25 per post, doing that a few times gives you a nice tidy sum.

Advertisers
If you wish to advertise on this blog then ask me to write about your website just join Blogvertise.

Internet Advertising

Your writing daily for nothing, so why not get paid for doing it? Seems logical right? and Blogvertise is free to use.
I will post a review in a few months, hopefully showing how well I get on with Blogvertise.

Go sign up and earn some money!

Diving Into NeverblueAds

Posted on February 28th, 2008 in Earn Money Blogging | 3 Comments »

NeverblueAds Logo

I am always looking for new ways to monetize my blog and after reading various experiences from people and the visit that Tyler Cruz took to Neverblue Media, I was impressed so I applied.

Two days ago I had my application accepted by Neverblue Ads on the telephone. I was expecting the phone call later on in the day seeing as there was a quite a large time difference from here in the UK. I had to go to work so I took my phone with me and had it on silent and expected to feel the phone ringing in my pocket. It did ring but I missed the phone call by 20 minutes, I couldn’t feel the phone vibrating in my pocket. I was gutted as I now had to wait around 3 hours to get home and try to contact them to ask for another phone call.

Once I had got home I checked my email to see a ‘Application Denied’ by NeverblueAds. I quickly emailed them to say sorry I missed the phone call as I was at work and within 2 hours I received another call from all the way across the pond! After a short phone call with a nice member of staff at Neverblue Media, she confirmed that I was accepted and this afternoon I received my confirmation email and I was ready to go. I did stutter a bit on the phone, which I was embarrassed about.

I logged into my account and immediately started looking around on the affiliate interface and was quickly starting a campaign on my blog, which you can see to the right. NeverblueAds works on a CPA basis, where you provide a lead to your audience or to a product, and once the visitor signs up, downloads or buys, you get commission for pointing them in the direction of the advertiser. Putting an advert on your blog is very easy. You can make a detailed search on what type of advert you are looking for, image size for example and what type of methods you are allowed to promote the product. You are then displayed with all the different campaigns which you can earn various amounts of money from.

NeverblueAds

It’s simple to implement the ads and there are a lot of different size image adverts to show as well as flash adverts and text adverts. I’m still getting used to everything and I’ll see how they perform for me and let you know in the future.

Write a Guest Post for 100 Entrecard Credits?

Arun’s blog is primary about earning money online, he writes about things like ‘The power of being Viral‘ but Arun also posts about things he finds funny like ‘Internet is for Porn - A funny animated video!‘.

Aruntheace Layout

What I Like About the Blog
Arun’s branding is good, his little character with glasses adds uniqueness to your blog which will make people remember that is you if they see you poking around on the web. Your blog has all the necessary pages that a visitor likes to see. You give them a little information about yourself and if someone wants to advertise on your blog, it’s there ready for them to click.

I had a read through some of your content and overall I liked what I was reading. The information was useful, and clearly laid out.

Areas I think you could Improve on
A review wouldn’t be a review if I didn’t provide areas of improvement so here’s a few things what I think you could improve on.

There is a LOT of writing. I don’t know where to start when I am visiting your homepage. The key part in a blog is its content and that is down the page before I start. I see you have your goals for 2008 and some other information at the top which is not really useful to the visitor. The only thing that I would use in that top part is the “Ask Me! I’ll Help You Make Money Online”. Try organising that section a bit more and making sure what you want pointed out, actually is.

You see the same example of finding it hard to find things in the sidebars, there is a lot of information on both sides. Do you really need it all? Think about what your visitors are seeing. There are a lot of adverts and text links and it draws away from the content again.

You really want to make your RSS stand out a bit more to. I only see one button directing to your RSS feed. Be bold and ask readers to subscribe. Add something similar to ‘If you liked this post, then why not subscribe?’ at the end of your posts and link it to your feed. Also it is essential you offer a form on your homepage for people to subscribe via email. These are simple steps that will help you gain RSS subscribers.

Link Love Contest
Everybody loves contests and Arun at Aruntheace.com is holding one to by running a Link Love Contest. You can win 1 year’s hosting with GoDaddy along with a domain name. You can also win advertising prizes which will help drive traffic to your blog!

Preparing to Make Your Post

Posted on February 26th, 2008 in Blogging Tips | 2 Comments »

Writing

When you write a blog post, do you just start writing? Or do you constructively manage your time to get the most out of the topic your writing about. Writing your blog post straight off is sometimes less beneficial than you may think. As I have experienced in the past, taking your time in writing a blog post is well worth it. You have more time to gather your thoughts together, look around the web for things you want to add into it. I have some steps I take to make sure I’m ready to make a post and making sure I’m happy with what I’m writing about.

Adding to Existing Ideas
I recently read a post about ‘Repackaging Ideas‘. This is an important part of what this post is trying to help you with. It is important to keep track of what is going on around the blogosphere and what others are posting about. Try checking other blogs that are writing about similar ideas you are. If you find a post on the same topic as yours, don’t copy it, remember what they have written about it and add your own points to it and present it in your own way. Remember to make your own research and try to find as much information on a topic as you can, people love reading blogs for quality content and if you hold the many answers or advice they look for then they will return.

Find Some Links
If you are writing about a certain topic, try adding links to other blogs that have written something similar to yours. If you have another point tucked in their somewhere you can add a link to a different blog’s post that is related to that to. If the blog you link to displays trackbacks then you will be exposing your article to people who read their post. Once they have finished reading the other blog they may look for other similar posts with different writing and ideas. It just so happens that you would have linked to it and they will see your link and click it.

Plan your Sub-Headings with Ideas that come into Your Head
A key step in writing my posts is writing my sub-headings before I do anything else. I start to think about what I am going to write and any ideas that pop into my head I make a sub-heading out of them. For example in this post ‘Find some Links’ is a sub-heading I got from just thinking about linking. I find that personally this is a great way of organising things as you have your sub-heading’s ready and you just have to write under them.

Add a Picture
I regularly search the internet and find a picture I am allowed to use. I go to stock photography websites and look around for pictures that are related to what I am writing about or I use my own photos. Using photos is a great way to relax someone when they are reading as it’s like a breath from reading. Sometimes just reading continuous text without a picture break can be a little dull. Although saying this, I do not mean there should be a picture in every post you do.

Proofreading
This is another thing I wanted to add for when people read this post, it is important to try to check your spelling and grammar to the best of your ability. Many people argue over whether spelling and grammar make a blog any worse, but if your readers can’t understand you then they probably won’t return. Try running your article through a word processor, this is the step I take. Remember no one is perfect, so if you make a mistake, just correct it without anyone even noticing.
